Immagine news TASK 8: MORE THAN 110 FINISHED THE TASK. ANOTHER FABOULOUS COMPETITION DAY. CONTEMPORARY CROSSING THE FINISHING LINE FOR STEPHAN MORGENTHALER (SUI) AND JURIJ VIDIC (SLO).

Another great race day for pilots who are competing for the world championship title. 73.9 kilometers, all of them bypassing in the valley of Feltre with good flight conditions, which made it possible to finish the day's task without any particular difficulty. A number of 113 pilots reached the finishing line.
Two of them crossed the finishing line at the same time. First of the day’s task are the Swiss Stephan Morgenthaler and the Slovenian Jurij Vidic who already had a good race yesterday while finishing the task in third place. Instead today’s third place of the podium belongs to the French Pierre Remy. Australian Kari Ellis confirms her good performances in previous tasks and finishes today first among women, interrupting the French Fukuoka Naville series.
It has been a compact race day, where the chosen routes by the pilots only varied little one from another. Start at 13.00 above Pedavena, it is a compact group who moves quickly and passed the first turning point above Pullir and continuous as fast in direction of the second turning above Monte Vallorca, south of Fonzaso. On their way to the third turning point, bypassing above Santa Giustina, near to the take-off, the pilots take advantage of the thermals to regain height. At this moment a group of six reaches to tear away fast, just behind are the other pilots: one part fly along the mountains and flies over San Gregorio keeping easily height and speed. The other part chooses to pass over Cesiomaggiore and remains a little behind. After the turning point of Santa Giustina, however, the groups rejoined, and the twenty pilots who had chosen the route via San Gregorio had a little advantage. All the others were chasing them in direction of Arten, then passing the last turning point for then crossing the finishing line at Boscherai.
A really spectacular show, lots of the pilots arrived at the finishing line in a homogeneous succession of colored paraglider wings. One after another landing at Boscherai while all the guests clapped.
